Fun with foam

Messing About - Close to Home

early morning at dry lagoon

Remember back in the day splashing around in the kiddie pool? This is sort of like that, but not really. It does involve water and bubbles, though.

Here's what you'll need:

1. One lagoon separated from the ocean by a spit of sand.
2. A camera set at a fast shutter speed.
3. A day without sneaker waves.
4. Rubber boots.
5. Foam.
6. Time.

Here's what you'll get:

ocean waves photographed with a fast shutter speed

ocean waves photographed with a fast shutter speed

Truth be known, the lagoon isn't really a necessity.

beautiful photos! but you forgot 2 things in your list:

7. An awesome eye for photo ops.
8. The ability to snap that shutter at exactly the right moment.

Thank you...for putting gas in our car. Doh! I wish days like today were part of my job description! It's always a pleasure to share them with you!

Ah, thanks, Gina!
Lucky for us that our digital cameras did away with the buying of film. I would have been in debt after this day! Now I just have to wait for the next foamy day and do it all over, again.
